If you wake up deciding what you want to give versus what you’re going to get, you become a more successful person. In other words, if you want to make money, you have to help someone else make money.

About the Founder
As a Community Development Financing professional, Marcus has spent over 20 years serving small businesses as a lender, educator, and overall advocate on financial-related issues many entrepreneurs face.
His diverse (and extremely rare) professional background includes direct underwriting and consulting experience with multiple public and private loan funds, including Federal (SBA & USDA), State, municipal, CDFI, banking, and private lending entities. Additionally, he has led small business instruction courses for several not-for-profit organizations, and also spent time as an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at his Alma Mater, Metro State University of Denver.
As his career experience has evolved, Marcus has been invited to manage, restructure, and/or recommend improvements to the lending operations for several financial institutions and community organizations in order to improve upon affordable financing options for their borrowers.
Thanks in large part to his diverse background and passion for his career, Marcus’ relationships with lenders throughout Colorado – and the country – have made the process of identifying affordable capital much easier and less stressful for our entrepreneurial community.
